About Me

Hi, my name is Virginia, and I am currently in training to become a postpartum doula and serve in Plymouth and Mankato, MN areas and will undergo my birth doula certification in July 2026 <3

My passion for becoming a doula first started last year, as I had an intererst of working with expecting mothers and infants. As a current nursing student, wanting to be a midwife in the future, I knew that this was perfect, as I have always had a passion for working with pregnant mothers and babies. I’ve worked as a CNA caring for the elderly since 2022, and I wanted decided to work somewhere that was within my career field. I love everything about pregnancy, infants, and being an advocate for all women. I had my labor and delivery clinical rotation throughout february and I absolutely loved it. It made me realize more about how beautiful birth is and how important it is to have a support system. Without the clinical work that I did with my nurse, what I did was equivalent as a birth doula and I am excited to be doing training later on in July! My goal is to help mothers and their families have a great birth experience and to help them feel heard and included in the journey.

As for my personal life, I was born and raised in Minnesota. I am currently a 3rd semester nursing student at Mankato State, and I will be graduating in Spring 2027. I want to become a labor and delivery nurse and later on become a midwife, as I have always wanted to work with pregnant mothers, babies, and be involved in all aspects of pregnancy since my teen years. During my free time, I love spending time with my loved ones, shopping, spending time with God, nursing, content creation, doing makeup, traveling, spending time with my dog, and being outdoors. I love wellness, such as spending time in nature, going to pilates class, working out, and going on walks.
